Girls Not Bride-an initiative to stop child marriage

To reduce and stop child marriage ACLAB has initiated week-long activities like dialogue with girls, inter-generation dialogue with parents and girls, advocacy meeting with the school management committee, local administration, law & enforcement, education officer, youth officer, women & child affairs officer, information officer, other government officials, journalists and local stakeholders at Mokamtola Girls High School, Shibganj Upazila, Bogra District and Alhaz Jamirun Noor High School, Jani Gaong, Laxmansree Union, Sunamganj Sadar District.

The girls and others joined the program lively and promised to stop child marriage in their Upazila. The program was supported by UNFPA, CARE and Girls Not Bride Bangladesh.
